460 thread count is the Goldilocks of cotton percale! Just right!
You can find a higher thread count if you want to, and BVN does make a higher thread count sheet, but with good cotton, above about 460 the fabric begins to get too dense for me. 460 threads per inch is a LOT of threads - imagine what happens when you crowd double that number in the same space. There is a bit of suppleness lost. Extreme thread count percale resits wrinking, but for a sleeping surface it's not my favorite.
The 460 thread count egyptian cotton is woven and fabricated in Italy by Bagni Volpi Noemi. The quality of the fabric and the finish of the seams and details are top notch.
